He embarked on his journalism journey after an extensive career in law enforcement and public service. Montiero graduated from Poinciana High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from American Military University.
Montiero’s career began in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces member, serving from November 2005 to November 2009. His military police assignments took him to various locations, including the Republic of South Korea, Tyndall AFB in Florida, Camp Bucca, and Iraq.
After his military service, he joined the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as a State Trooper and Public Affairs Officer in April 2010. His duties included patrolling multiple counties in Florida and the Orlando area of the Florida Turnpike. His passion for community involvement grew when he joined the Florida Highway Patrol Motorcycle Unit, leading to public speaking engagements and becoming the face of FHP in Orlando.
