Chatzky’s career continued to flourish as she moved to SmartMoney in 1992, starting as a staff writer and advancing to senior editor. Following a five-year tenure, she joined Money Magazine in 1998. Throughout her journey, she has made numerous appearances on programs such as Oprah, Live With Regis and Kelly, and The View, and has contributed to publications like Parents, Seventeen, and Cosmopolitan.

Currently, Chatzky holds the role of financial editor at NBC’s TODAY show. She also serves as the director of education and editor-in-chief for since 2011. In 2018, she launched HerMoney, a multimedia company focused on improving women’s financial empowerment, inspired by her successful podcast, HerMoney with Jean Chatzky.
